“As a couture seamtress, I have extensive schooling in altering wedding gowns. In 1987 I made my first wedding gown from scratch. Once I made one gown I had people calling me to make them gowns as well! I then started my own business and owning a store was a big exciting leap from just altering the gowns. I love owning a small business with a big heart in local Westminster, MD!”
“My love for all things bridal started when I bought my first prom dress from Stella’s in 2014, our first year in Westminster! I started in our prom department and worked my way up to Bridal Styling and helping with buying our collection and managing. I got the bridal bug, and couldn’t go back! Making women look and feel their most beautiful makes me so happy! I graduated from McDaniel College in 2019 with a degree in Marketing. I love our team so much and marketing for Stella’s is a dream come true! My heart is here and will always be in bridal fashion!”
“I knew I wanted to be in the fashion industry very early on so I centered my education and career goals in that direction. From various buying and planning jobs, retail had me hooked! When it was time for me to step back into the retail world after raising my kids, Stella’s was the place I needed to be. The bridal industry allows me to be creative, innovative, and excited to share the fashion with our customers. It is so satisfying being involved in an industry that delivers hope and joy! Helping new brides explore their style and seeing their reaction to ‘the’ dress is so fulfilling. With my history in menswear, it was a natural transition for me in the tuxedo department. I love helping the couples complete their vision of their perfect day. I am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic team and sharing in so many aspects of the business!”
“I found Stella’s while shopping with my sister for her wedding gown and instantly fell in love! I’ve always been passionate about fashion and aesthetic so being given the opportunity to create bridal content for Stella’s, as well as work as a stylist, has been a dream come true! With a degree in Communication from Mount St. Mary’s University, I always knew I wanted to be a part of the bridal industry! The best part of working at Stella’s is helping women feel their most beautiful inside and out for one of the most special moments of their lives! There is something so magical about bringing someone’s vision to life! God truly blessed me with the opportunity to be a part of this woman run business with team members that are dedicated to lifting each other up!”
“My headway into the fashion industry was when I attended the Carroll County Career and Tech Center my junior and senior year of high school for the Textile and Fashion program. I grew up on a dairy farm and after I joined the program there was no turning back, I instantly fell in love with the power of fashion! What I love about both the fashion and bridal industry is the ability to make people feel their absolute greatest by what they wear; to help them exude body confidence and positivity. Stella’s is such a wonderful place because the number one goal is to make the bride and groom SHINE! It’s the best feeling in the world to make people feel special!”
“Being a bride in a bridal shop is like being a kid in a candy store. You get to see all the beautiful dresses and then you get to help other brides find their dream dress! I just graduated from Frostburg State University with a degree in Social Work! Being able to work with brides and mothers every single day is such a great experience for me to work on my listening skills! I was blessed to go to Stella’s for my sister to get her wedding dress and I fell in love with everything about the store. From the stylist she had, to the experience we had with our grandmother, it was absolutely amazing! Then I became a Stella’s bride myself, and got to have my own unique experience! That’s one of the many things I love about Stella’s – every bride gets their own special moment and experience! I will forever have a special place in my heart for Stella’s and for the other stylists! We are one big family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!”
“When shopping for my own wedding dress Stella’s was the first and only shop I went to. I found my perfect dress and jokingly called Stella’s my happy place as we continued to go back to find dresses from bridesmaids, my mom, and even my sister’s wedding dress a few years later. My background includes teaching elementary school for 8 years, and when I had a baby, I became a stay at home mom. Working at Stella’s is more of a dream hobby than a job. Helping brides find their dream dress gives me the same warm and fuzzy feeling as helping students grasp new concepts. Additionally, I have the most beautiful co-workers inside and out. I couldn’t be more thankful to be a part of this team!”
“I got involved with Stella’s a year ago when we started doing virtual fashion shows over quarantine for our dresses! A little while later I was hired to help with behind the scenes action like answering the phones and steam cleaning our dresses. A lot of what I do here at Stella’s helps to take pressure off of the stylists so they can focus solely on their brides and customers. I currently attend Stevenson University, and I am majoring in Graphic Design. I’ve been able to incorporate my passion for design as well by helping run our Pinterest account, and helping create graphics for special events and promotions. I love working at Stella’s and have the best team to do it with!”
